Job Title: Social Security Senior Advisor

Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) is a public institution established after the merger of Social Security Fund of Rwanda (SSFR) with Rwanda Health Insurance Scheme (RAMA). The mandate of RSSB is to
administer social security in Rwanda. The branches that are managed by RSSB include; pension, occupational risks and health insurance.

RSSB is seeking to recruit a self motivated and qualified employee of high integrity to fill the position of Social Security Senior Advisor. Only candidates who meet the mentioned requirements below are allowed to apply:

Minimum qualification of a Masters’ degree (MBA) in finance or Strategic Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Social Security Administration, or equivalent to a Business Advisor in Social Security.
• Must demonstrate commitment to RSSB’s mission, vision and values.
• Management experience in the financial sector or operations in pension administration, employee benefits, brokerage, and a mutual fund company.
• Experience in preparing pension strategies, reform policies, financial controls and investment plans.
• Experience in both defined benefit scheme and defined contribution plans in pension business.
• Problem-solving and business acumen skills.
• Strong level of influence and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Able to work efficiently as a team member.
• Fluency (both oral and written) in English, French and Kinyarwanda is required.
• Ensure efficient and effective functioning of the Director General’s Office internally and in its interactions with external stakeholders.
• Direct support to the Director General in his/her day to day activities.
• Provide strategic advice to the Director General.
• Supports Director General to manage strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate information flows, planning, work allocation and reporting in the Director General’s Office across different units.
• Represent the Director General at meetings and respond to correspondence on his/her behalf.
• Review and quality control of briefings and reports going to Director General.
• Initiate, design and implement new systems and processes in the Director General’s office.
• Performs any other work given by the Director General.
