Under the supervision of the Chief of Party and in close collaboration with other team members he/she will:
• Implement the programs defined by the project and ensure their appropriate development;
• Set up an operational working environment between the different partners (from farmers environment to government organs) enabling to build a fertilizer private sector which is sustainable, competitive, responding to partners objectives and specifically to farmers;
• Be able to discuss with potential private investors (with figures) and understand their expectations;
• Be able to draw, manage and stand by a budget;
• Ensure a daily reporting of the action plan progression to the Chief of Party, inform him of challenges and submit proposals;
Qualifications and Skills
• Holder of a Master Degree in Business Management, Economics;
• Have a minimum of experience of 10 years of which at least a one time period of 5 years in the private sector. An experience in agribusiness (fertilizer distribution) would be an added advantage;
• An experience at international level would equally be an advantage;
• Must have a comprehensive mindset, organizational skills, respect of planning and deadlines fixed , be creative;
• Must be able to understand defined objectives and be pro-active to meet them;
• Be capable of defending the project goals;
• Be able to drafting notes and reports in a synthetic and technical way;
• Be able to read, write, and speak English/French. The knowledge of Kinyarwanda is highly desired;
• Master basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc);
• Be able to adapt in a multicultural environment
