FLOW PROJECT MANAGER (3 YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT) BASED IN
AAIR- LOCAL RIGHTS PROGRAMME (LRP) OFFICE IN NYANZA DISTRICT
Position Description
We are looking for a strong Project Manager for a Dutch-Funded Women´s Rights to Sustainable Agriculture (FLOW) Project. The FLOW PM will lead the Project coordination and delivery in Rwanda of the next three years the Dutch government funded multi-country project on Women´s Rights and Sustainable Agriculture and Livelihoods. The Position holder will be responsible for Managing the project staff and partners to deliver on the objectives set out in the FLOW project design Document. Conceptualise, plan and oversee the FLOW women´s rights Project and Programmes, both the specific and cross-cutting elements, within the frame work of the overall country strategy. Build the capacity of AAIR Programme, FLOW project, and partner staff on issues relating to women´s rights and gender justice.
Qualification & Experience
– The candidate must hold at least a Bachelor´s Degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences, Gender Development related field and a minimum of Five years´ experience in a non-profit or government agency working on issues related to Women´s Rights, Gender Justice Development, and Rights based Approach (HRBA), food security or hunger.
– Excellent skills in written and spoken English, as well as spoken Kinyarwanda, are essential. The candidate must have strong communication skills and knowledge of policy issues related to global hunger and food security.
– She or he should be adaptable and creative in taking initiative.
– Experience with government advocacy work and accountability processes is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the agricultural sector in Rwanda.
– The successful candidate must be committed to gender
