Job: Head of IT

Who is our next Head of IT?
A candidate who has at least 5-8 years as a successful IT sector and should have a masters/ Bachelors degree in Computer Science. preferably within a public or financial environment. He/she must have some management experience in application development, IT operations support. Infrastructure and Networking. The ideal candidate will focus on planning & managing the activities related to IT as well as ensuring the provision of efficient, cost effective and secures IT services to the bank. Develop the overall strategy & business plan for the IT department and monitor performance against plan. Enhance IT architecture to ensure optimum integration of different systems and meet business, risks, reporting & regulatory requirements. Liaise with risk management to ensure to ensure efficiency of IT contingency/ business continuity plans & develop adequate back-up & recovery systems. Adhere to BPR established procedures, policies and guidelines. Oversee the management of all IT projects and ensure proper coordination with concerned business departments.
Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership in order to provide a secure, stable and reliable system & infrastructure to BPR.
• Responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of IT significant business segments within the service line, and to effectively communicate with IT team.
• Constantly drives to re-engineer & fine tune processes & procedures.
• Overcomes obstacles to complete assignment successfully.
Maintaining a consistently high energy level.
• Consistency in efforts to improve & recognize of delivering.
• Evaluate new requirements and to enhance the existing systems without compromising on quality or performance.
• Assertive and diligent in exercising authority and supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and Leadership skills.
• Manage Microsoft technologies & HP proficient servers including Exchange & MS Office environment Network technologies with CISCO routers and IBM P-series besides AIX operating systems
