Job:    System Administrator
Location: Kigali

Who are our next System Administrator?    
A candidate who has at least 2-6 years experience in systems administration.
Bachelors degree with a technical major, such as engineering or computer
science. Systems/ Network certification is a plus. Experience in LAN/WAN management
& administration Including systems configuration, set-up, troubleshooting,
planning implementation & user support experience installing &
supporting Microsoft Servers. Good problem solving, analytical, organisational
& communication skills.

Responsibilities:
The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning,
installation/configuration, operation & maintenance of systems hardware
& software & related infrastructure. Participates in Technical research
& development to enable continuing innovation within BPR. Need to ensure
that system hardware, operating systems, software systems & related
procedures adhere to BPR.
•    Install new/rebuild existing servers & configure
hardware,. peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage etc. in
accordance with standards & projects/operational requirements.
• Develop & maintain installations & configuration procedures.
• Windows & Linux systems, business applications, anti-virus protection,
email & authentication administration.
• Perform daily systems monitoring, verifying the integrity &availability
of all hardware, server resources, systems & key processes, reviewing
systems & application logs & verifying completion of scheduled jobs
such as backup.
• Perform regular security monitoring to verify any possible intrusions.
• Perform daily bark-up operations, ensuring all required file systems &
system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes
or disks are created & media is recycled & sent off site as necessary.
• Create, change and delete user accounts as per request.
