SPERI PhD Studentship for UK, EU and International Students in UK

Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute
(SPERI) at University of Sheffield invites application for PhD studentship. The
studentship is open to the UK, EU and International applicants. The award will
cover fees and also provide full stipend at the RCUK rate. Successful
candidates can take benefit of this studentship for up to three years on full
time basis and up to six years on part time basis. To apply for the
studentship applicant must submit a research proposal focusing on SPERIs core
research by 28th February 2013.
Study Subject(s): Research will focus on the themes of the British growth crisis, the
building of a new political architecture for the Eurozone, the rise of the
BRICs and the emergence of changing forms of capitalism in East Asia, Latin
America and Africa and the G20’s leadership and management of the global
political economy and the role of other leading global institutions.

Course Level: The Studentship is available for pursuing PhD degree.

Eligibility:
-You should
have a first or upper second class UK honours degree or equivalent and a
Masters degree in a relevant subject area.
-You should be applying to start your first year of study on a full-time or
part-time PhD with the University in the 2013-14 academic year (i.e. after 1st
August 2013, exact start date to be agreed with your supervisor/ department).
-Awards are open to UK, EU and international applicants.

Scholarship Description: SPERI has one studentship available for a candidate to start from
September 2013. The award covers fees (UK/EU or Overseas) and a full
stipend at the RCUK rate (£13,590 in 2012-13). The scholarship funds up to
three years full-time or six years part-time study, subject to satisfactory
progress.
