Chemonics Chief of Party Job Vacancy in Rwanda

Chemonics seeks a chief of party for an
anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded Feed the Future agriculture value chain
project in Rwanda. The project aims to promote key value chains
through development of production and market linkages both domestically and
regionally. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a
difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide overall technical leadership and
    management 
  • Oversee implementation of all project
    activities to meet targeted objectives
  • Serve as the primary liaison with USAID, the
    government of Rwanda, local partners, and other stakeholders 
  • Provide compliance oversight and quality
    assurance for project activities including finance and operations, grants,
    procurement, and budgeting
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in agriculture or related
    field required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing
    donor-funded projects in agricultural value chain development,
    facilitative approaches, and capacity building of the local public and
    private sectors
  • Experience working with local counterparts on
    agricultural production, processing, and marketing policies and
    interacting effectively and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
    including USAID and other international donors
  • Experience as chief of party on a donor-funded
    project in Rwanda or elsewhere in Africa preferred
  • Knowledge of USAID/Rwanda’s Feed the Future
    initiative preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and
    integrity
  • Fluency in English required; advanced
    French skills preferred
