African Entrepreneurship Collective Field Fellow Job Vacancy in Rwanda

THE ORGANIZATION
African Entrepreneurship Collective (AEC) is a new,
innovative solution to systemic unemployment in Africa. While African economies
are some of the fastest growing in the world, unemployment is widespread and
persistent, causing severe economic, social, and political ramifications. The
root cause is that the supply of jobs is outpaced by the increasing demands of
a growing workforce. AEC focuses on job creation. Our plan is simple: equip
existing entrepreneurs with the tools to succeed and empower them to create
jobs for others in their communities.
Founded in Summer 2012, AEC identifies young
entrepreneurs with existing enterprises and provides them with business
education, mentorship, technical support and access to affordable capital, so
that they can grow their businesses and create jobs for others in their
communities. We are launching a two-cohort pilot program in Rwanda, and have
plans to expand to 2 other African countries within the next 5 years.
