The Institute of Agriculture, Technology and
Education of Kibungo (INATEK), Located in Ngoma District (Eastern Province) is
hereby seeking to recruit qualified and competent Director of the Centre for
Language Development and Promotion (CAL). The incumbent will among others
perform the following duties and responsibilities.

To design and establish the overall policy of
the Language centre.
To mentor, guide and supervise the staff in
the centre.
To coordinate all activities of the centre and
collaborate with other academic and research units at INATEK.
To establish and plan for trainings at the
centre (for INATEK staff, students and community).
To carryout language needs assessments and put
in place strategies to bridge the established gaps.
To develop strategic and action plans and
budgets for the centre and execute them.
To avail all the necessary needs for effective
trainings and conducts training impact assessment thereafter, monitoring
and evaluation, follow-up and report on CAL activities.
To build and strengthen partnerships with the
institute’s stakeholders aimed at language promotion.
To establish, oversee and coordinate community
outreach language activities aimed at promoting and improving languages.
To come up with project proposals for the
centre’s development, attend all internal and external meetings
representing CAL.
To perform other assignments as directed by
the supervisor.

Requirements:

A Minimum of a Master degree in Languages
(Specializing in English) with strong proficiency in Kinyarwanda, French and
Kiswahili. Possession of a PhD is a plus. A minimum two years experience in
managing a language centre or project in Higher Learning Institutions is a
must.
