can provide strategic leadership in establishing market presence and brand recognition
in East Africa and beyond. S/he will drive marketing activities by developing
and executing an effective branding and communications strategy for CMU-R. S/he
will also measure the effectiveness of all branding and marketing initiatives
using qualitative and quantitative analysis; and work closely with the
recruitment and admissions coordinator to ensure the strategy is being carried
out effectively to
meet recruitment targets. S/he will manage the design and
production of all CMU-R publications such as program and resource guides,
brochures, newsletters, presentations, etc. This will also include
providing writing and editing support for websites, magazines, press releases,
speeches and more. S/he will ensure publications and staff-created communications
materials meet CMU branding standards. Lastly, s/he will work closely with
graphic designers, copy editors, and printers as required to make sure projects
are completed on time and within budget.
Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with
five or more years of experience in branding, marketing, and corporate
communications. Master’s degree preferred. Excellent technical writing and
communication skills are required; knowledge of relevant technologies is
expected, in particular using, desktop publishing tools, spreadsheet software,
content management systems, as well as social media and other web marketing
technologies. Excellence in English is compulsory; fluency in Kinyarwanda,
French or Swahili is a plus. Relevant work experience with international
organizations in preferred.
