international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide
operations.





GIZ
has worked in Rwanda for over 30 years. The primary objectives between the
Government of Rwanda and the Federal Republic of Germany are poverty reduction
and promotion of sustainable development. To achieve these objectives, GIZ
Rwanda is active in the sectors of Decentralization and Good Governance,
Economic Development and Employment Promotion and Energy.
For
our program Economy and Employment Promotion we are searching for a Senior Expert in Business Development Services.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support Eco Emploi public
    partners in the development and implementation of a sustainable structure
    for Business Development Services (BDS) for Small and medium size
    enterprises (SME)
  • Support selected public and
    private BDS providers in the areas of Green Economy, Women Economic
    Empowerment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship to develop demand-driven,
    sustainable new services for SME
  • Support the selected service
    providers to establish a pool of respective trainers
  • Support the respective partner
    organizations in the development and implementation of Result-Based
    Monitoring Tools for the newly developed BDS
All
activities will be implemented in close cooperation with the Rwandan Partner
Institutions




Qualifications
and Competencies
  • Master Degree in Business
    Administration or other economy related areas
  • At least 8 years working
    experience in the area of SMEPromotion, including concept development for
    sustainable BDS, development of demand-driven Business Development
    Services for SME, training and coaching of BDS Providers to implement
    sustainable BDS
  • At least 1 year of working
    experience in private sector companies
  • Working experience in at least
    one of the four areas: Green Economy, Women Empowerment Innovation and
    Entrepreneurship
  • Very good knowledge of the
    Rwandan Economy and the SME environment
  • Good knowledge in the field of
    international cooperation
  • Very good coaching skills, good
    moderations skills and good knowledge of capacity development tools
  • Strong analytical and
    communication skills, and facility in document writing
  • Very good working knowledge of
    ICT, particularly of WORD, EXCEL Power Point, Outlook.
  • Fluent written and oral
    knowledge of English and Kinyarwanda, and preferably French. A working
    knowledge of German is an asset
