The goal
of ARC in Rwanda is to improve life conditions of the displaced refugee
population by ensuring the provision of basic services and enabling economic
recovery in five refugee camps located in Rwanda.

looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of WASH and Construction Coordinator located in Kiziba camp (Karongi District).

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.
Responsible for the planning, design, organization and

plementation of activities related to (re)construction, rehabilitation and
maintenance of camp infrastructures such as shelters, roads, bridges, communal
buildings, water delivery systems, shower and latrine blocks;
2. Responsible for sanitation activities including waste
management; daily cleaning of latrines; and chemical spraying of latrines and
dwellings;

3. Supervise casual labor refugees in Construction,
Sanitation and Water areas;

4. Provide regular work plans, as well as progress

5. Organize awareness and sensitization campaigns on
water and sanitation related issues;

6. Work closely together with various partners including
refugee committees in the areas of shelter, water and sanitation;

7. Organization of trainings and capacity building
activities for refugee committees, casual laborers, as well as ARC staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil engineering

Strong oral and written skills

Minimum two years of experience in planning,
designing and supervising construction works;

Experience with a Development or Relief Organisation

Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda. Preferably also
French or Swahili as additional languages
