OVERVIEW
COFORWA (Compagnons Fontainiers du Rwanda) is a Non-Governmental Rwandan
Organization with more than 40 years grassroots experience in Water, Sanitation,
Hygiene Education, rural energy and technical training. The organization has a
long-dating experience in provision safe drinking water, rainwater harvesting,
promoting improved sanitation and good hygiene practices both in communities
and in public places such as schools, markets, refugee camps, etc.
In its capacity building project
stipulated in the 2014-2016 Strategic plans, COFORWA seeks to recruit a
competent person for the aforementioned position.
The Administrative assistant is
responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to
ensure effective and efficient operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Provide administrative support to
ensure that organizational operations are maintained in an effective, up to
date and accurate manner
2. Provide support to executive committee
to ensure that they are provided with the required resources to make effective
decisions
3. Provide receptionist services
4. Provide logistical and procurement
services and manage cash book of Muhanga office
5. Manage COFORWA human resources and
perform well the related tasks including sound filling of human resource
documents, manages leaves, motivate staff for increasing their performance,
manage staff talents, identify capacity building needs and organize staff trainings
in accordance to the performance development needs identified, ensure staff
performance contracts are prepared and evaluations are well organized in due
time.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION
Minimum level acceptable: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with at least 3 years of
experience in the following options: Secretarial studies, Public or Business
administration, Social sciences, Management, and
Communication or any other related
sciences. B. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team building skills
- Very effective organizational skills
and attention to details and high level of accuracy - Effective written, verbal and
listening communications skills (fluent in English and French) - Computer skills including the ability
to operate spreadsheet and word processing programs - Time and Stress management skills
- At least 3years working experience in
NGO.
