for a senior project engineer from January 2015 until end of 2017.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Providing advisory services to public and private partner institutions
for projects under the Energising Development Rwanda program, namely PSP Hydro
(Private Sector Participation in Micro Hydropower) and RBF (Results Based
Financing) projects (Pico PV and Mini-Grids)

• Serving as a member of the RBF technical committee that reviews
applications and the RBF incentive mechanism

• Providing comprehensive analysis and inputs to technical studies, and
compiles and distributes up-to-date technical information to relevant
stakeholders

• Monitoring the development and implementation of project activities in

Qualifications and Competencies
• Masters/MSc or doctorate in engineering (hydropower) or a discipline
of relevance to PSP Hydro/RBF project

• 7 years’ professional experience, with at least 5 years’ professional
experience in a comparable-/ position that proofs sound managerial experience.

• Strong analytical and communication skills, and facility in document
writing

• Experience in business plan development and project financing
• Professional written and oral knowledge of English, Kinyarwanda, and
French. Basic knowledge of German is an asset

• Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone,
fax, email, the inter-net) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)

• Job involves frequent visits of project sites.
