Ending Malnu
The
Inclusive Society: Together Ending Malnutrition project funded by the European
Union is a project that will promote the participatory implementation of
poverty reduction policies and contribute to reduction of child morbidity
related to malnutrition in Rwanda. More specifically, the program will
work to improve the nutrition service delivery for children under five and
women of reproductive age in Ngoma District by supporting the initiatives of
local authorities and civil society organizations in the implementation of Ngoma’s
District Plan to Eliminate Malnutrition (DPEM). This project will
build capacities of both health center staff and CHWS to implement and monitor
DPEM activities, including improving nutrition services delivered by
CHWs. In addition, civil society organizations will be enabled to develop
nutrition activities and to advocate for the nutritional needs of the most
vulnerable people.

field officer will be based in Ngoma and will work closely with IRC,
Ngoma authorities, community health workers and local leaders in targeted
communities to reduce poverty through promotion of income-generating activities
for vulnerable households, development of village level nutrition plans to work
towards eliminating malnutrition, support for promotion of behavioral change
communication focused on nutrition and advocacy for the nutritional needs of
the most vulnerable at local, district and national level

The duty station and area of
residence shall be Ngoma District.
Profile/Qualifications of the
required officers
- Should
have a Bachelors degree in social sciences, economics,
Agriculture,development studies or any other related field. - Should
have 3 years experience in project management, working with rural
communities and knowledge of working and training cooperatives. - Should
be able to work independently with minimum supervision. - Should
have ability to work under pressure to meet project timelines. - Should
be a team player with good communication skills. - Should
be able to write and speak fluently English, Kinyarwanda, French would be
an added value. - Should
be computer literate especially in MS word, Excel, Powerpoint and
Internet. - Should have a valid driving permit for
motorcycles.
