PROGRAMME OFFICER – GOVERNANCE TEAM, DFID RWANDA
The UK Government’s Department for International
Development’s (DFID) in Rwanda is looking to recruit an enthusiastic,
experienced and energetic individual to fill a Programme Officer post (B2
grade, Staff Appointed in Country) to support its Governance portfo lio. This
is a permanent posit

ion with a starting gross salary ranging from RWF 15 to 19
million per annum depending on experience (subject to local income tax) and other
employment benefits including full medical cover and excellent professional
development opportunities.

 Working in a fast paced environment, the
successful Candidate will ensure effective project implementation, monitoring,
reporting and financial accountability for the existing governance projects and
will support the design of new ones. Is this you?
As Programme Officer you will need to demonstrate a
thorough understanding of project cycle management and value for money best
practice, and be able to maintain close working relationships with colleagues
across the British High Commission and with external partners.
Not only will you play a key role in delivering DFID
Rwanda’s programme of support to Rwanda’s EDPRS II objectives but you will be
part of an organisation that is widely acknowledged as a world leader in
inter-national development. DFID is the second largest bilateral development
partner in Rwanda.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• An undergraduate degree with at least 4 years’
experience managing development projects or working for a development agency
• Demonstrated programme financial management
experience with ability to use and interrogate project financial information
• Strong English written and verbal communication
skills
• Strong people and team working skills.
