Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:

Help GEN develop a high profile presence “above the radar”

Play a lead role in developing the GEN Communication Strategy in accordance
with overall GEN Strategy and targets

Oversee the creation and placement of media content in accordance with the GEN
Communication Strategy

Ensure a steady and inspiring stream of communication from GEN on social media
and websites

Ensure the GEN YouTube Channel becomes a hub of inspiration for sustainable
living

Work closely with GEN Designer to implement GEN Corporate Identity

Work closely with GEN Newsletter editor on creation of content

Ensure the GEN Communication Strategy and GEN Corporate Identity are
implemented throughout all GEN Working Groups

Responsible for creating and implementing the GEN Communication Emergency Plan
Education
and/or Work Experience Requirements:

At least 5 years’ work experience in the area of public relations,
communication and / or brand development

Experience of multi-platform social media and latest trends in online and
offline communication
Core
Competencies:

Understanding of, and agreement with, the vision and core values of GEN

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the
ability to communicate effectively with internal staff and external partners,
funders, supporters e.g. Friends of GEN, governments and agencies. Additional
language competences are a highly appreciated bonus.

Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
and communication tools like Google drive, Webex, etc.)

Ability to work in an environment of emergence and complexity

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive
and inclusive attitude

Ability to work independently

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
Salary: £500 per month,
£6,000 per year
