Job Description
We are looking for
exceptional individuals to join our Agro dealer team.The role of the Special
Project Associate is to assist with the management of day to day operations for
the team and /or to run projects to improve how Agro dealers offer services to
farmers. The role of the SPA is to run trials or program improvement projects,
pilot new ideas, and provide feedback on any number of projects under their
control.

Primary Duties and

Responsibilities
To be effective as an SPA
in Operations Innovations, you will be playing a number of different
roles. These include:

- Grow our team: You will mentor a team to develop
their leadership, critical thinking and management skills. This involves
tasks like having weekly check ins with your staff, preparing trainings,
and providing deep mentorship during field visits. - Grow our business: Every additional AGD in our
network generates an estimated 60,000 – 100,000 USD in impact for
subsistence farmers. You will work as part of a team to increase the
number of Agro dealers that work with us. - Be a field expert: You will spend a significant
part of your time in the field with AGDs and the farmers they serve.
Through in-depth field research and relationship building, you will speak
with authority about what clients need and want. This will influence
high-level decision-making in Tubura and will feed into our Government
advocacy work. - Innovate:You will design, execute and analyse
projects looking at ways to improve our Agro dealer programme. For
example, we are currently trialling solar light provision through Agro
dealers. - Impact focused: In everything we do, we put
“Farmers First”. You will always keep the farmer impact as your guiding
principle.
Qualifications

Fluent English speaker. - Ability and willingness to travel 3-4 days a week in
rural areas depending on project - Intermediate to advanced computer skills: intermediate
typing, intermediate Microsoft Word skills, intermediate excel skills. - Top performing academic background (must have good
results and at least a Bachelor’s degree) - At least 1-2 years solid work experience. This can be
in any field – we look for candidates who have managed significant
responsibilities, demonstrated their ability to achieve results, and who have
performed well independently or part of a team.
