A well-known technique for finding good fishing spots is to look for structure. It involves carefully analyzing a map to find areas that are likely to be honey holes. The i-Boating application uses Fishing AI to accomplish this. This functionality is only available in the native application.
Fishing AI is an artificial intelligence model created to identify fishing spots in a lake or waterbody. It tries to emulate an expert angler, using the same kind of logic and reasoning that a fisherman would use. It is trained to include variables such as lake bottom bathymetry and topography, fishing structure and vegetation maps, weather patterns, fish type, and local knowledge gained over several years about likely hot spots. It can identify fishing spots and break lines in almost all kinds of water bodies, including rivers, reservoirs, lakes, and ponds.
