Key
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Providing
direct support to the implementing partners both at local and national
level as advised by the line manager; - Supporting
the processes involved in coordinating umbrella partners involved in the
implementation of the project; - Support
the development of relationships with local implementing partners and
districts authorities to assist the project implementation and influencing
activities; - Actively
support the process of beneficiaries’ identification which is based on the
social categorization in Rwanda, and specifics of project location as
determined by districts authorities;
- Support
building strong relationships with project stakeholders and be part of
activities dedicated to strengthening women economic empowerment for the
project; - Assist
in the development and implementation of other sustainable livelihoods
projects’ activities to ensure consistency with project objectives;
- Be
a dynamic member of the Sustainable Livelihood team and use flexibility to
cover other team members whenever needed and contribute to the maximum of
his/her ability; - Draft
communication for audiences within Oxfam Rwanda and beyond to document
lessons learned, communicate project related information, share
information as advised by the line manager.
Skills
and competence:

- Bachelor’s
degree in relevant fields ( Agriculture, Project management,
agri-business, and related field) or a high school degree with two more
years of relevant experience; - 2
– 3 years experience in supporting projects is the sectors of Agriculture,
Agribusiness, gender, women economic empowerment or other relevant fields; - Proven
experience and ability to work with community based groups and other key
stakeholders in development work; - Proven
skill at understanding women’s specific livelihood challenges and identifying
opportunities for agriculture and women’s empowerment; - Strong
planning, organizing and problem solving skills with ability to work
hands-on under supervision and within a team;
- Demonstrable
capability to communicate (writing and speaking) effectively in English.
Kinyarwanda and French are desirable; - Be
computer literate and having excellent report writing skills will be a
plus;
- Willing
to travel in Rwanda rural areas for project implementation purposes;
- Having
administrative skills and being able to prioritize work and meet tight
deadlines; - Exposure
and understanding of concepts related to project concepts including
agriculture, agribusiness, rural financing, poverty eradication,
sustainable development, and value chains promotion; - Capacity
to work in the Rwandan context while understanding the different
dimensions of its diversity and cultural sensitivities.
