ROLE
As
the Project Manager you will steer a project (running from 2016 – 2020) on
Evidence Based Advocacy – funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This
is a multi-country program managed from SNV’s Head-Office and implemented in
Rwanda, Indonesia, Burkina Faso, Kenya and Honduras as well as at the global
level. The overall programme aims at strengthening capacities of Civil Society
Organisations to advocate for an enabling environment in WASH, Energy,
Food/Nutrition Security and Resilience. The Food/Nutrition Security and
Resilience components are implemented in cooperation with IFPRI (International
Food Policy Research Institute) under the leadership of SNV.

KEY
RESPONSABILITIES
RESPONSABILITIES
- Execute
overall project management at the country level in collaboration with the
project manager at SNV Head-Office; - Lead
project implementation in the food and nutrition with emphasis on capacity
development of CSOs, evidence generation and dissemination and support to
advocacy plans and activities; - Build,
strengthen and manage partnerships with relevant government institutions,
donors, and key partners. - Develop
and apply the monitoring and evaluation framework and ensure proper
reporting internally and to the donor. - Manage
the in-country project team to ensure all milestones set in the annual
work plan are met. - Manage

communication and branding. - Coordinate
and foster collaboration with the other countries where the V4CP is
implemented - Link
country activities on food and nutrition security theme to advocacy
activities and profiling in Rwanda and at global level; - Ensure

CANDIDATE
PROFILE
PROFILE
- Master’s
Degree in a relevant discipline; - Proven
track record of managing projects including management of donor funding - At
least ten (10) years’ work experience in an international (development)
organization and sound experience in the solicited theme Food and
Nutrition Security - High
level experience with evidence based advocacy initiatives in the country; - Experience
with Capacity Development of Civil Society Organizations; - Demonstrated
ability to successfully manage and lead a multicultural team - Excellent
inter-personal and communication skills with proven team-building ability, - Ability
to create a creative, open-minded, constructive and innovative working
environment; - Ability
to incorporate or work with local organisations and actors in accordance
to relevant Rwanda context; - Experience
in high level interaction experience with different stakeholders
(think-tanks, national governments, international fora); - Excellent
English communication (written and oral), reporting and presentation
skills and Level IV (fluent – speaking/reading/writing); Kinyarwanda
language ability is desirable;
