We
are currently looking an intern who will be responsible for the following:

- Supporting
programme teams to produce their own communications materials such as
quarterly review reports, social media feeds, while ensuring consistency
with required regional standards and alignment with country strategy; - Supporting
the Programme Quality Coordinator in the process of communicating
programme achievements to the relevant Ministries, District immigrations
and Immigration Headquarters on a timely and efficient manner; - Providing
support as required in reviewing programme team’s communications materials
and strategies within projects’ implementation processes; - Contributing
to the design and management of the Country internal communication
strategy, ensuring key corporate changes and priorities are communicated
effectively; - Contributing
to the production of internal communications products such as regular
staff newsletters, bulletins, updating programme briefs, drafting the
annual country programme report; support the updating of the Country
strategy; - Contribute
to the design of strategies and materials to ensure programmatic
learning/evaluation is captured and shared between programme teams; - Contribute
substantially to the design and implementation of influencing activities
within Rwanda programme; - Ensuring
that community and citizen voices, particularly those of women, are at the
heart of the Rwanda program communications work; - Screen
social media messaging on country programme’s Twitter and Facebook pages.
The
position requires the following requirements:

- Have
or be in pursuit of a formal education at least at degree level in
communication including journalism; - Basic
experience with communications planning skills – understanding how to plan
and implement a strategy. - Have
at least one year experience working in the communication sector in a INGO
or a strong local NGO. - Proven
ability to identify and write good story ideas. - Excellent
written and verbal communications skills in English and experience in
writing communications outputs: situation reports, case studies,
factsheets/briefings and diaries. - Ability
to acknowledge cultural and political issues within the locality and usage
of wisdom and tact to avoid expression of conflicting stands also have
understanding of the commissioning process for photography and video.
