PRIMARY
OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
To
implement social media strategies, brand awareness that generate inbound
traffic and maximizing revenues while impacting on guest service satisfaction.
TASKS,
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MAXIMISES
HOTEL REVENUE AND GUEST SATISFACTION
  • Checking
    and updating the hotels website homepage.
  • Ensuring
    Hotels Social Media Policy is followed in regard to Facebook, Twitter,
    Instagram, etc
  • Ensure
    that appropriate adverts for the internet and email footers are developed
    to reflect the hotels services
  • Organizing
    and participating in GMs monthly Cocktail for in-house hotel guest
  • Ensure
    that relevant hotel information is posted on the D-loop
  • Work
    closely with Marketing Manager on all aspects that have to do with PR and
    Marketing.
  • Know
    and understand the Park Inn by Radisson brand standards so that our
    messaging is correct and as per the required standards
  • To
    regularly send an email news letter to the local Kigali market – this is
    to attract all to come and use the hotel.
  • Be
    Social Business coordinator.
  • Identify
    press opportunities internally and externally
  • Keep
    records / diary of all press communication activity
  • Ensure
    all hotel collaterals and marketing materials are in line with QPR and
    brand standards (ref. Graphic toolkit)
  • Take
    advantage of internal and external marketing tools to create the
    much-desired mileage in the market (Club Carlson, Blogs, Park Inn by
    Radissonapp, Park Inn by Radisson Service concepts, Responsible Business
    …)

  • Maintains
    high confidentiality in regards to guest privacy
  • Ensures
    that all potential and real hazards are reported appropriately
  • Fully
    understands the hotel’s fire and emergency procedures
  • Follows
    emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and
    employees
  • Works
    in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others
  • Supports
    a safe hotel by applying hotel regulations, and adhering to existing laws
    and regulations
  • Maintains
    the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance,
    body language and conduct
MISCELLANEOUS                                                                                       
  • RESPONSIBLE
    Business:

    show involvement and be interested in environmental and/or social issues
    by participating in Responsible Business hotel and departmental activities
  • Attends
    meetings and training required by the Marketing Manager
  • Assists
    colleagues to perform similar or related jobs after approval of the
    Marketing Manager
  • Ensures
    guest satisfaction by attending to their requests and inquires courteously
    and efficiently
  • Accepts
    flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests
  • Maintains
    own working area, and materials clean, tidy and in good shape; reports
    defective materials and equipment to the Marketing Manager
  • Continuously
    seeks to endeavour and improve knowledge of own job function
EXPERIENCE*
  • 1-2
    years of experience in public relations and marketing
  • Experience
    in media relations and social media.
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS*
  • Qualification
    in digital marketing/social media or in Public Relations and Media
KNOWLEDGE
SKILLS & ABILITIES*
  • Must
    have strong verbal and written communication skills, including a thorough
    understanding of correct grammar and ability to write news releases,
    feature stories, and develop social media content
  • Ability
    to create targeted messages for a variety of media outlets
  • Must
    work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
  • Flexible
    and adaptable to changes in information or priority
  • Must
    possess excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and presentation skills
