Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin was established in
March 1994. Its research is primarily devoted to a theoretically oriented
history of science, principally of the natural sciences, but with
methodological perspectives drawn from the cognitive sciences and from cultural
history.

Award: The position is primarily devoted
to research, with no teaching and with minor administrative duties for the
Research Group. Remuneration is based on the TVöD-Bund pay scales (E13). - Number

should hold a doctorate in the history of science or related field at the
time the position begins (PhD awarded in 2016 or later), and be able to
show evidence of scholarly excellence in the form of initial international
publications. Research projects should relate to the research agenda of
