5 Iconic Cartoons on Cartoon Network

Cartoons – Superheroes we all wanted to be before there were Avengers or Justice League of the modern world. Our childhoods are full of cartoonish memories. From Imitating Jonny Bravo to becoming Dexter, watching these cartoons was a ritual before going to school.

Years went by and we grew up. Not knowing how much we actually missed them. Platforms like Netflix and YouTube replaced channels like Cartoon Network. Still, early 2000s kids know that Cartoon Network isn’t replaceable (for them at least).

Like us, we know that many people long for forgotten memories. Instead of binge-watching shows on Netflix, they prefer watching Jerry rolling over Tom.

So, we thought why don’t we dive down memory lane and relive our childhood memories?

Get some popcorn because we’re diving straight into our childhoods. We’re going to relive some iconic cartoons; we grew up watching on Cartoon Network.

Without further ado, let’s get started.

Pokémon.

Bottom Line.

Dragon Ball Z:

Ah! I still remember how Frieza coldly killed Krilin. But hey, wasn’t that for good? No, no one was happy about that, but that brought us the first Super-Saiyan.

Cartoons don’t get better than Dragon Ball Z. The debate between Goku and Vegeta remains unsettled to this date, but let’s cherish the old memories now.

Saving our planet from every danger, Goku and his team were always at the forefront. Be it Frieza, Androids, Cell, or MajinBuu, they didn’t hesitate to give their lives to earthlings.

However, nothing tops when Goku and Vegeta fused to defeat MajinBuu. Comprehending the arch-rivals to become one body, one soul was difficult for sure.

Nonetheless, Dragon Ball Z was a happy place for us. Not only did it give us so many memories to cherish, but it also gave us some of the strongest anime characters to date; Goku and Vegeta.

Ben 10:

We didn’t know about Avengers until 2012. However, we still had a team of superheroes, saving the Earth, just like the Avengers did.

Ben 10 aired first on Cartoon Network in 2005, and we couldn’t be much happier about it.

Why?

Because a boy, just like us, on a trip with his grandfather and cousin, got hold of a supernatural watch. So, if he could get lucky, why couldn’t we?

The replica watches made things tough for our parents. Hoping that those watches would transform us, some of us cried when they didn’t.

Nevertheless, Ben 10 was way ahead of its time. Cartoons with a different concept, a unique storyline, and fun-loving characters, Ben 10 had it all.

That being said, you can revive the long-lost love for these cartoons by tuning into YouTube right now. But for that, make sure you’re connected to a reliable Internet, like Xfinity.

Why Xfinity?

Xfinity’sfaster than 5G download speeds and ever-available connection lets you stream these cartoons at 4k without the fuss of buffering (and suffering at the same time). As an icing on the cake, their internet plans are free from contracts.

Powerpuff Girls:

Especially girls, if you haven’t debated over Powerpuff Girls characters with your friends, what kind of cartoons did you watch growing up?

A scientist came up with an idea. Upon experimenting, he came with three girls, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles.

Having three daughters, every one of them is different, yet powerful enough to defeat their rival, Mojo Jojo.

Mojo Jojo, being always on the hunt to dismantle Townsville, is a cheeky opponent. However, some credit goes to Mojo Jojo for being a pure entertainer. Ardent fans know that PowerpuffGirls wouldn’t be the same without him.

Courage The Cowardly Dog:

A stray, orphan puppy adopted by an elderly couple gave birth to one of the most iconic cartoons.

Courage, a pink dog has to fight his fears every day to save his owners from the perils. From zombies, calamities, demons, and scary things, Courage always put aside his fears to fight them.

However, doesn’t matter how brave he is, he always loses his mind whenever Eustace, his father, scares him with a mask.

Assisted by his supercomputer, Courage finds every answer from him. He was so fast that it could put ChatGPT behind.

Nevertheless, this pink dog shows us how to be brave in the face of difficulty and be stupid at the same time.

Pokémon:

Don’t tell me you know about the original Pokémon if you’ve only played Pokémon GO. The game is way different than the original Pokémon series. One can even say that the game didn’t do justice to this exceptional show.

Ash, being a teenage boy is matched up with his Pokémon, Pikachu. Now, this inseparable bond wasn’t fond of each other at the beginning of their journey. Pikachu, having mood swings, didn’t like his new handler. Only when Ash saved Pikachu from a terrible attack from angry sparrows that Pikachu start to accept him.

Their arch-rival, the Team Rocket is always an obstacle in their journey. Ash, in the quest to earn badges and collect rare Pokémon, Team Rocket derails him from the right track every time.

Nonetheless, Pokémon was a great show of its time. However, playing Pokémon GO isn’t enough. Watch the cartoon and know why people are still obsessed with Pokémon.

Bottom Line:

Animated movies and streaming platforms have darkened the vintage cartoon’s charm. Now, kids are more interested in watching seasons and shows than in something of their age. We, as the last generation, must take the responsibility to save our heritage.
