Chief Risk Officer Job Vacancy at a Newly Licensed Digital Payment Institution

A newly licensed digital payment institution in Nigeria with strong affiliation to one of the Leading Mobile Telecommunication in Africa desires to recruit highly competent, talented, self-motivated and result oriented individuals to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Risk Officer

Responsibilities

  • Identifying potential threats to the financial stability of the Bank including risky credit investments Compliance Risk Regulatory Risk Reputational Risk Information System Risk etc and portfolio inefficiencies.
  • Delivering of regular risk analysis reports to the Banks Management with actionable plans for avoiding or preventing potential threats at all levels.
  • Review internal and external audit reports to extract relevant risk and control information for use in reporting, remediation and system improvement.
  • Track and analyze incidences of frauds (successful and attempted) identify causes and implement with respective units measures to close loopholes.
  • Develop business continuity framework and plans for the bank and follow up with respective units on, their implementation.
  • Provide liquidity report detailing funding position, funding needs, funds management, etc.
  • Provide guidance for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements with respect to liquidity and participate in regulatory review process.
  • Develop an inter departmental Service Level Agreement to assist the Bank in achieving efficiency and effectiveness in business measurements.

Qualification and Skills

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering or any other related field.
  • Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant. Must have high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Good understanding of modern digital financial services as well as advanced business finance and performance analysis. Good Knowledge of statutory and regulatory issues as well as global best practices.
  • Possess Strong budget and management skills, including proven ability to manage project/process.
  • High degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years cognate experience with at least 5 years in Banking or Mobile Financial Services
