At last President Muhammadu Buhari sent the Senate his list of ministerial nominees.
This was made known by the president of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, who on Tuesday read out the letter from the president at the plenary.
A total of 43 ministers from the 36 states and Abuja were nominated by the president.
Former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, senior lawyer Festus Keyamo, former Benue Governor George Akume and 40 other nominees are among the nominees.
The president also maintained Fashola Babatunde, Chris Ngige, and a couple of other ministers returning.
The appointments were taken throughout the six geopolitical areas.
The President of the Senate mentioned that the screening of the nominees of ministers will begin on Wednesday and “legislative activities will take the back stage.”
Mr Lawan had hinted of the Senate receiving the ministerial nominees list last week.
President Muhammadu Buhari was sworn-in for a second term on May 29 after winning re-election in February.
