Mining and Metals, Procurement Superintendent, Liberia

Our client is looking for a procurement manager who would be responsible for the purchase of capital goods and services for a Green field Iron and Ore Mining project based in Liberia.

Duties
• Responsible for purchase of Capital Goods & Services for a Green field Iron Ore Mining project.
• Sourcing plan/procurement schedule
• Able to plan and manage supply chain activity
• Issuing the RFQ’s
• Negotiations
• Preparing P.O’s in SAP
• Monitoring the payments
• Managing the warehouse activities.

Personal Attributes
• Purchasing of Capital Goods and Services experience (Civil Construction, Logistics & Ware house)
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years experience from a Mining company or similar experience
• Ability to work autonomously and at the same time to contribute strongly as a team player working together with various stake holders in the project team
• Analytical ability and comfortable in a highly computerized environment, preferably in SAP
• Good knowledge of Procurement activities with proven track record and aggressively pursue Create competitive purchase environment through constantly seeking alternative supply scenarios.
• The ideal candidate would preferably have an engineering degree in mechanical or any equivalent technical education
• Exposure to a multi-cultural working environment preferable
• Documented examples where you have led similar project implementation and delivered results consistent with requirements of this position
