TASK
We need volunteers to help design lesson plans/curricula for our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in South India. The students attend school where the medium of instruction is the regional language, Tamil. Volunteers should be able to devote time to the project on a weekly basis and have experience in writing ESL lesson plans/curricula. Retired school teachers/curriculum writers are sought in particular. However, anyone with experience in education and lesson plans will be considered.
There is no deadline, although we would like to get the lesson plans prepared as soon as possible. We will provide all the necessary information about the school, the students, and the expectations of the position. We will communicate with the selected volunteers by email to coordinate everything. Also we encourage the volunteers to be available to talk on the telephone or Skype. Volunteers will be responsible for communicating with the team on a regular basis.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Ann Foundation seeks to provide educational opportunities for children who have not had many opportunities, and who without the support of our organization and other organizations would not have the opportunity to improve their lives. These students are abandoned destitute children, which is a population that the Ann Foundation is interested in serving.
OBJECTIVE
We hope to provide educational opportunities to the students, which we believe will in turn lead to brighter futures, as their English language skills, confidence, and education will allow them to succeed in their careers and to participate more fully in the economic and social life of the nation.

REQUIREMENTS
The volunteers must have some experience in writing lesson plans. Ideally, the volunteers will have experience with ESL course work, or otherwise be English-speaking and have some experience in teaching foreign languages, whether that be English as a foreign language or some other language.
