4. Scholarship program: Reach Oxford Scholarships

Brief Scholarship Description: A number of Oxford colleges offer Reach Oxford scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) to students from developing countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.

5. Scholarship Program: Manmohan Singh Undergraduate Scholarships for applicants from India

Brief Scholarship Description: Applicants to the University from India may be eligible to apply for a Manmohan Singh Undergraduate Scholarship. The new scholarships named in honour of India’s Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, himself an alumnus of the University, have been made possible thanks to an endowment created by generous benefactions from the UK and India. The scholarships, to be held at the University of Cambridge, are for school-leavers from India who meet the usual examination qualifications for admission to Cambridge. Applicants for all courses except Medicine and Veterinary Medicine are eligible to apply.

6. Scholarship Program: FedBank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarships 2012
Employer: FedBank
Level of Study: Undergraduate, Postgraduate
Brief Scholarship Description: Ten students in each discipline, of which one seat will be kept aside for a physically challenged student (duly evidenced by a certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the rank of DMO or an approved Medical Officer of the Bank), will be reimbursed 100% of the tuition fees as per the fee structure for seats allotted in the Government quota in Govt., Aided and Self-financing colleges, subject to a maximum of Rs. 75,000/- in a year up to the normal completion of course. If there are no sufficient applicants in the ‘physically challenged’ category, then cases of less than 40% also will be considered. Any disruption on account of any kind of failure will make the student ineligible for scholarships. If applications are not received from eligible candidates under ‘physically challenged’, it will be utilized under general category.

7. Scholarship Program: Trinity College Dublin Scholarships for Postgraduate Students, Ireland 2012

8. Scholarship Program: Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)

Brief Scholarship Description: Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) aims at attracting talented youth into undertaking higher education in science intensive programmes, by providing scholarships and mentoring through ‘summer attachment‘ to performing researchers. The scheme offers 10,000 scholarships every year @ Rs 0.80 lakh per year to talented youth in the age group 17-22 years, for undertaking Bachelor and Masters level education in Natural and Basic sciences. The main feature of the scheme is mentorship support being planned for every scholar through INSPIRE scholarship.

9. Scholarship Program: Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship Programme

Brief Scholarship Description: Under its Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship Programme, the Foundation awards interest free loan scholarships to Indian students with a consistently good academic record. The amount of scholarship, up to a maximum of Rs. Fifteen Lacs, is decided as per the assessment of the Foundation. 10. Scholarship Program: K. C. Mahindra Scholarships for Indian Students to Study Abroad
Employer: K. C. Mahindra Trust

Brief Scholarship Description: The K.C. Mahindra Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies Abroad awards an interest-free loan of up to Rs. 200,000 to deserving graduates who are interested in pursuing advanced studies overseas. Initiated in 1956, preference is given to students interested in pursuing subjects which are not readily accessible in India. Candidates must possess a First Class Degree and be admitted to a foreign university. The selection is announced in leading newspapers across India every January.In the year 2010, the trust announced the KC Mahindra Fellows Fund where the 3 most deserving candidates selected are awarded an interest free loan scholarship ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 8 lakhs, based on merit and need. Govt. and Quasi-Govt. officers with a creditable academic record, going abroad for specialised qualification are also eligible to apply.
