Job Purpose: To support the Head of Design.
Essential Skills:
Should have a degree or equivalent level of qualification in fashion/design and demonstrate knowledge of knitwear.
Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator and Excel Skills.
Excellent communication skills, organised, team player, flexible, proactive and attention to detail.
Relevant work experience.
Must have both excellent oral and written skills in English. Italian would be desirable but not essential. Willing to travel.
Reporting to: Head of Design
Key Tasks:
Design Research
Undertaking general research for womenswear by:
• Utilising in-house sources such as books, magazines and periodicals
• Utilising external sources such as libraries, shops and museums
• Visiting trade fairs
Design Work
Assisting the Head of Design with:
• Colours, themes and fabrication
• Developing sketches
• Creating range plan
• Fitting and product approval.
Presentation Work
Assisting the Head of Design with presentations, including:
• Preparing work to presentation standard using Photoshop and Illustrator
• Preparing mood boards and design boards
