You will be reporting to, and working closely with, the director to support on all risk and control matters and be responsible for driving it’s agenda.
Management and development of a small technical team responsible for control and reporting activities for a specialist lending function.
In time, this will include additional investment products eg fixed income and derivatives.
Presentation of reporting and data to senior managers.
Managing and analysis of processes and the team’s activities, working with senior management to agree and implement a strategy moving forward.
The successful candidate will have an excellent risk and control mindset from within an investment banking/investment services environment, coupled with exceptional relationship management and creative presentation skills (PowerPoint and Excel essential). You will be able to display leadership, strength of character and confidence in dealing with complex issues and be able to guide and influence a team and management, focusing on continuous improvement.
This role will have a high level of visibility within the senior management team and offers huge potential for career development and, although our client foresees the role initially being 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday, it will revert to standard business hours within 6-12months.
