College of Life and Environmental Sciences – Environment and Sustainability Institute Senior Technician (Wildlife) Job Vacancy in UK

Salary: £24,520 per annum

This new full-time post is available on a permanent basis in the Cornwall Campus.
The post holder will provide practical support for ecological research, in the field and laboratory, within the
new Environment and Sustainability Institute.

This is an opportunity for an experienced wildlife professional to join a new research Institute and to deploy their well-developed skills on a range of research projects. The post holder will be an experienced, reliable and authoritative technician who will be a self-starter, will make things happen and will ensure data collection is conducted successfully and to a high standard.

The successful applicant will be qualified to degree level in ecology, biology or similar and/or have extensive work experience in a similar post. Applicants will be able to demonstrate extensive experience built up over several years in surveying, catching and handling a range of wildlife species and have a proven ability to work closely with stakeholders and partners, specifically farmers, gamekeepers, landowners, fishermen, conservation organisations, etc.
