The Logistics Project are committed to raising standards of logistics performance across the relief and development sectors; as part of this we are looking for a Volunteer Logistics Administrator to work with small NGOs, FBO and Social Enterprises who do not have in-house capacity.

You will ideally have worked in commercial, government or military logistics and have a good understanding of international logistics. You should have experience of dealing with shipping agents and freight forwarders ad have a good grasp of incoterms, although a recent logistics graduate with an interest in the humanitarian field or an exceptional development graduate with and interest in logistics would be considered.

Your role will be to field requests for information from organisations and build a profile on their operations and where possible to answer their query from your professional knowledge. For queries outside your capacity you will staff these to our panel of consultants and then collate a comprehensive answer for the enquiring organisation.

You will need to be able to assimilate information quickly and clearly present it. Project management, administrative skills and the ability to see things through are essential. There will be opportunities for development and possibly travel to expand your knowledge.
