The main aspects of this position will be to introduce new and relevant procedures for product compliance, reporting and promotion as well as improving procedures to develop,
support and strengthen the environmental performance of the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
Produce, implement and manage environmental product improvement projects and initiatives
Ensure environmental product data and claims are verified and compliant
Ensure legal and customer environmental reports are accurate and submitted on time
Maintain compliance with memberships like FSC and PEFC chain of custody and WWF Forest and Trade Network
Develop environmental product procedures
Maintain and develop a business network for environmental intelligence
Ensure environmental credentials are kept up to date by communicating with marketing, sales and bids and tenders.
Experience within environmental management and/or procurement is essential as is cross functional processes or projects experience.
You must have a good knowledge/understanding of environmental management methodologies; ISO Environmental and audit standards and various legal requirements.
You must also be proficient in Microsoft Office packages particularly Excel
