Eligibility:
Qualifications:
• A numerate graduate with a post-graduate (MSc or PhD) qualification in statistics or other numeric scientific discipline.
Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of statistical techniques and theory; in particular general and generalised linear models, univariate and multivariate meta-analysis methods, matrix algebra.
• Extensive knowledge of statistical analysis packages, preferably STATA and R.

Scholarship Description: This is a 34 month post for a statistician with an excellent track record of original methodological research, preferably in meta-analysis. The post-holder is expected to lead the development, implementation and empirical evaluation of statistical methods for multivariate meta-analysis. Multivariate meta-analysis allows the joint synthesis of multiple correlated outcomes, and is being increasingly used in the medical literature as it offers numerous advantages over a separate meta-analysis of each outcome independently.
