£17,329 – £18,868 PER ANNUM

The University of Chester seeks to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join the University’s expanding and dynamic International Office, which is responsible for the marketing, recruitment and admissions of international students to all programmes across the Chester and Warrington campuses.

Located on the University’s main Chester campus, the post holder will provide accurate and reliable administrative support to all aspects of the admissions cycle for full-time undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses for international applicants, using appropriate software. The job is UK based but there may be opportunity for international travel.

You will have a good standard of education including 2 A levels (or equivalent) and 5 GCSE’s A* – C (or equivalent), including English and Maths. An undergraduate degree, or equivalent professional qualification, is desirable.

Flexibility and adaptability to change are crucial requirements of the role holder and are necessary to meet the increasingly fast-paced demands of the International Office.
G
ood working knowledge of spread sheets, word processing and database packages is essential as is at least one year’s administrative experience. Excellent communication skills, tact, diplomacy and attention to detail are all necessary to the successful performance of this role.
