The Role
As Regional Programme Manager you will be joining a
strong and committed regional leadership team that oversees, guides and
supports a diverse range of programmes across the Middle East and Commonwealth
Independent States (MECIS) region. Their work ranges from providing leadership
on some of Oxfam’s most challenging humanitarian responses, diverse country
programmes in a mix of development, fragile and conflict affected contexts, to
exciting regional programmes on women’s rights and economic justice across
several countries in the region.

Yemen – You will be the organisational lead for the Oxfam Confederation on
our work in Yemen, overseeing what is one of the largest and most challenging
humanitarian responses globally.

Occupied Palestinian Territories and Israel (OPTI) – You will help oversee and support the country
team’s humanitarian, development and resilience work within OPTI, including a
strong focus on our advocacy and influencing work. In addition, you will
support an important change process for the country, as we transfer to One
Oxfam programming and structure.

Regional Gender Justice Programme – You will support and guide an exciting regional and
multi-country programme on women’s rights across several countries in the
Middle East and Northern Africa.

About You
An outstanding leader, you will ideally bring
significant experience in the Middle East and excellent understanding of the
local and regional context. You will be passionate about women’s rights,
humanitarian and development work, and will be highly committed to our
campaigns and advocacy at country, regional and global levels.

The Middle East and Commonwealth of Independent States
(MECIS) region implements and manages programmes in Yemen, Occupied Palestinian
Territories, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Russia, Tajikistan, Armenia, Iraq and
Georgia.

Contract Length: Fixed term – to end of June 2017.
