Our client, Distell Winemasters (Kenya) is looking for a passionate and dynamic person to fill the position of Production Manager reporting to the General Manager.
Key Performance areas:
• Responsible for attainment and adherence to production plan.
• Effectively plan and manage inbound supply chain.
• Ensure reduction in re-works, re-processing and unplanned downtime.
• Ensure improved production efficiencies (ex OEE).
• Responsible for plan and control departmental budget.
• Responsible for maintenance plan, P&M and efficient asset utilisation.
• Management of quality systems relating to production.
• Ensure compliance to all health, safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement annual departmental business plans.
• Maintain sound industrial and employee relations.
• Drive continuous improvement projects.
• People management which includes career and development.
• Compliance to Distell quality management system (IFSIBRC/ISO).
• Actively participate in daily and weekly management meetings.
Person Profile
• A recognized tertiary qualification in a relevant field will be highly recommended (e.g. B. Sc Production Engineering).
• 3 – 5 years’ experience within a fast moving consumable goods environment and/or applicable qualification.
• Good analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial and statistical data accurately.
• Strong leadership capabilities and ability to manage people with diverse backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills to ensure task completion.
• Sound knowledge in Industrial Relations practices and experience in handling disciplinary matters.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Reliability, flexibility and ability to perform under pressure.
