Internal Auditor
Maritime Electric is seeking an energetic and results oriented individual
to report to the Vice-President, Finance, Administration & CFO of
Maritime Electric, at the Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island office, in
the capacity of Internal Auditor.
The Internal Auditor will provide independent, objective assurance and
consulting services designed to help the organization accomplish its
objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate
and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal control and
governance processes. This position will be responsible for planning,
administering and conducting the internal audit activities of Maritime
Electric within the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal
Auditing of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual
who possesses strong leadership, management and demonstrated audit
skills. The ideal candidate will hold a professional accounting designation
(CA, CGA or CMA) with a minimum of five years of progressive experience
in the field of internal or external auditing. The individual must be self driven
and possess strong organizational, inter-personal and
communication skills, and be capable of succeeding in this role with
minimal supervision.
