- Work
alongside School Principals, and offer advice and support on academic
issues - Monitor
and develop as necessary the systems in use for reporting pupil
attainment, achievement and progress to parents - Monitor
preparation for all foreign exams e.g. SAT, IGCSE, Checkpoint, IB programs
etc - Monitor
the Administration of internal and external examination results - Evaluate
and analyze students results and progress for adequate counseling and
advice to students by the principal - Discuss
observations with the various subject teachers as necessary and advise
them on the line of action for an improved result. - Identify
the training needs of the Academic staff and recommend such for training
and re-training in conjunction with the Principals and Human Resource - Formulate
practicable policies that will enhance the smooth running of the school
academically - Develop
and maintain the highest curriculum and teaching standards that will make
students excel both nationally and internationally - Keep
up-to-date with changes in educational theory and subject requirements:
the National Curriculum; International Curricula, Scholarship
expectations, etc - Liaise
with various local and international academic bodies - Lead
by example in all professional matters; ensuring that all staff observe
matters such as dressing, punctuality and mutual support - Review
all academic policies, curriculum documents and schemes of work at least
annually - Ensure
the successful implementation of subject policies and schemes of work
