- This
role will be responsible for partner financial management with a strong
focus on ensuring compliance on all Christian Aid funding and reporting
conditions as well as donor requirements. - The
role will lead on the partner finance function as it relates to Christian
Aid. This includes review and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring that
Partner Capacity Risk assessments are conducted and that clear capacity
development plans are developed and followed through to reduce the risks
of mismanagement or misuse of funds. The role holder will ensure that all - transactions
relating to partners are posted into our accounting system and PROMISE and
that Christian Aid complies with all KPI’s as it relates to partner
management and compliance.

- Based
in the Country Office in Abuja, this role is part of the wider CA Nigeria
Team. The Programme Finance Coordinator reports directly to the Finance
Manager and will have line management of at least 2 Programme Finance
Officers.

- In
collaboration with Finance Manager, commission project audit and ensuring
issues raised by auditors relating to project are resolved promptly. - Ensuring
that financial reports are stored on Christian Aid’s Program Management
Information System (PROMISE) in line with CA requirements. - In
collaboration with other colleagues, budgets are prepared and monitored
for donor projects as and when due and submitted to relevant stakeholders
within and outside the organisation. - Project
financial information is entered accurately into Christian Aids accounting
software in line with the Finance Team monthly timetable. - Partner
Organisational Capacity Risk Assessments (POCRA’s) are conducted on all
partners and capacity gaps are clearly identified and fed into a
development plan. - Christian
Aid staff, partners and consultants complies with Christian Aid’s and
institutional donors’ policies and procedures.

with local partners and Institutional donors. Represents Christian Aid and
the programme externally with partners, other NGOs, donors and other
agencies. Appraise, monitor and review programme in line with CA and donor
requirements.
Internal:
- The
position is line managed by the Finance Manager and will in turn line
manage the Programme Finance Coordinators. The role links up strongly with
the Senior Programme Coordinators working on the various projects, the
Grants and Compliance Coordinators etc. - This
role will have contact with other members of the Country office, auditors
(internal and external) as well as the international finance team based in
London.

a qualified member of a recognised accounting body (ICAN, ACCA) - Good
track record working with local partner organisations supporting them to
build systems and structures to enable them meet donor requirements.
