Job Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, assists in
the management of human resources in UNICEF Accra and Tamale Sub Office.
Main
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interprets and applies HR policies
  • Reviews contractual status, within
    grade increment and monitors the completion of performance evaluation
    reports
  • Maintains and updates Annual Leave
    records for all staff
  • Assists in the recruitment of
    staff including evaluating candidates applications
  • Processes entitlements and
    maintains various personnel records and files
  • Develops and organises orientation
    of new staff members
  • Prepares correspondence, special
    reports, evaluations and justifications, as required, on general human
    resource or specialized tasks that may be of a confidential nature within
    assigned area of responsibility
Required
Skills or Experience
  • First degree in human resources
    management, business administration or relevant field
  • Five years of progressively
    responsible experience in human resources management
Language
Proficiency:
  • Fluency in English required.
    Another UN language is an asset
