The Volta Lake Transport Company (VLTC) Ltd a subsidiary company of the Volta River Authority (VRA) whose mission is to promote viable, safe and efficient lake transport services to link the northern and the southern sectors of Ghana for the socio-economic development of the country and to facilitate both internal
trade and sub-regional trade with landlocked neighboring countries.

Job Description
The Volta Lake Transport Company (VLTC) Ltd a subsidiary company of the Volta River Authority (VRA) is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced personal for the above position.

Job Function:
Responsible for the management of VLTC mixed fleet of vessels on the Volta Lake, to world class crewing, safety and asset management standards:
Develop marine fleet administration standards and vessel operating policies
Set pre and post- voyage protocols to include passenger care as well as asset management
Prepare annual budgets and periodic reports on operating costs
Initiative and monitor professional standards of crewing and seamanship
Take control over maintenance, repair and replacement of vessel and equipment
Direct fleet-related management training such as safety and accident prevention programmes
Negotiate insurance matters

Remuneration: Attractive with fringe benefits

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or relevant Technical field
Membership of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport will be an added advantage
Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in the maritime environment
