payable transactions.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• review invoices and check requests
• sort and match invoices and check requests
• set invoices up for payment
• process check requests
• prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and GIRO payments
• reconciliation of payments
• prepare analysis of accounts
• monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• resolve invoice discrepancies
• vendor file maintenance

Position Title
Accountant
Position Objective
Perform accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Produce monthly reports and assist in month end closing.
Essential Functions
Review invoices and check requests, sort and match invoices and check requests, set invoices up for payment, process check requests, prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and GIRO payments, reconciliation of payments, prepare analysis of accounts, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor file maintenance, correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Education:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Professional Degree in Accountancy.
Experience/Requirements:
Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable and knowledge of general accounting procedures.
Knowledge of relevant computer applications
Proficient in data entry and management
