Job Responsibilities• Maintaining the full set of accounts (GL, AR and AP) for overseas entities regarding Vessel Accounting in USD and local country currency
• Ensuring timely submission of monthly, quarterly and year end consolidated financial statements with variance analysis
• Performing balance sheet, intercompany and bank reconciliations
• Liaise closely with Project/ Technical depts to ensure running costs are properly accounted for
• Maintaining the fixed assets register and depreciation schedules
• Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for overseas entities (P/L, balance sheet and cash flow statements)
• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns to tax authorities.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of corporate tax, government statistics and other statutory filings
• Preparation of audit schedules and liaison with external auditors
• Assistance with project tasks based on your experience e.g. IT implementation, budget sensitivity.
Requirements
• Degree in Accountancy and CPA or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience of which 3 years from Shipping/ Ship management Industry
• Familiar with IFRS and foreign currency reporting
• Good knowledge of ERP Accounting software is preferred
• Possess good communication skills, initiative and analytical skills
