Responsibilities:
• Provide corporate and business support to group companies in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Sri-Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, ventures in other Asia-Pacific countries and around the world.
• Manage the legal and contractual aspects of a variety of complex IT services and engineering contracts and projects from pre-sales to project conclusion, ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations
• Draft, review and provide advice on complex IT services and engineering contracts.
• Provide frontline support for negotiations, respond to complex inquiries regarding existing contract obligations and revisions, identify risks and issues, and suggest alternatives that lead to the best solution.
• Provide advice and support to local and regional operations, advising management on corporate, business, and regulatory issues with legal implications.
Requirements:
• Qualified to practice law in at least 1 Asia-Pacific jurisdiction
• Minimum 6 years of PQE with a good blend of private and in-house experience
• Good mix of corporate, commercial and litigation experience
• Good knowledge in Business and Commercial Law
• Familiarity in contractual and commercial negotiations
• Candidates with exposure to the IT industry will have a distinct advantage
