Purpose of
the job
The jobholder plays
a key role in implementing and realize the daily corrective and preventive maintenance
plan, within the manufacturing plan and within the corporate requirements and
guidelines.
He/she manages eight
(8) direct reports in such a way that the integrity is ensured within the
budget.
Key
Responsibilities
The jobholder will
be responsible for performing the following duties:
- Implement
the preventive and predictive maintenance plans, in line with the agreed
manufacturing plan, in order to ensure maximum availability of the
production facilities, on the short and the long term. - Execute
the maintenance plan and take corrective actions in close cooperation with
the Maintenance Manager in order to achieve the results. - Implement
performance indicators and ensure periodical reporting of actual
performance against predefined targets. - Ensure
that all maintenance activities are executed in a technically sound, safe
and environmentally acceptable manner, by complying with all relevant
external and Africa Improved Foods requirements and practices.
Knowledge and
educational level
Educational level:
Bachelor’s Degree in
Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or any other related area
Required
level of experiences
- Minimum
of 5 years’ experience in Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance of
Production plants - Very
good knowledge of Instrumentation Systems - Proven
experience to read and interpret drawings - Hands
on experience in using various mechanical and electrical equipment and
tools - Strong
experience in identifying all equipment faults and parts - Replacing
all electrical and mechanical parts at site - Knowledge
about safety and environmental standards

Competences
- Strong
people and coaching skills - Interactive
team player with experience managing multiple tasks and priorities in a
dynamic business environment - Fluent
in English and good working knowledge - Pro
active approach - Pragmatic,
with good self-organising skills - Ability
to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
