Titan Capital has a portfolio of investment companies in the resources, commodities and hospitality sectors. We are seeking a Financial Controller who has an eye for details and is prepared to get his hands dirty to streamline the company’s cost and identify means to improve the company’s productivity & bottom-line. While he will need to prepare the Company’s financial statements and reports, his role is expected to include restructuring activities, negotiating with the banks and creditors, and positioning the Company for eventual listing/trade sale.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the financial accounting function of the company, including the setting up of appropriate accounting/finance systems and functions, with the support of local accounting staff
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets and perform variance analysis
• Undertake proper cash flow management to ensure sufficient liquidity in the company
• Establish management information systems to monitor the financial and operating performance of the company, and develop KPIs for management
• Support the company CEO in all related functions including the preparation of monthly financial and management reports
• Ensure proper internal controls and risk management are in place and adhered to
• Develop & maintain financial models for the purposes of meeting information needs of the investors/shareholders
• Liaise and work with external parties such as bankers, auditors, and government agencies
Requirements:
• Ideal candidate should have a degree in accountancy or professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA), with CPA qualifications.
• Several years of experience in an international accounting firm, and
• At least 5 years of experience in an accounting and finance role for an operating company with prior experience in setting up account systems
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Highly analytical and strong quantitative skills
• Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to write and communicate well.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
