Further information
Based in Aberystwyth, the Royal Commission is the national body of research and record for the historic environment of Wales. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be involved as a lead partner in the delivery of a Wales-Ireland Interreg 4 funded project. The Commission has been awarded funding by the ERDF to implement the “Metal Links – Forging Communities Together” Project.

This is a fixed term appointment to 31.1.2014.

The Metal Links partnership aims to bring together communities from Ireland and Wales that share a common historical link through the exploitation of metal ore. The main aims of the project are to develop and promote socially inclusive opportunities for the sustainable regeneration of formal metal-mining communities; to promote and encourage new cultural and educational links based on mining, archaeology, geology and cultural heritage and to share new ways of telling the ‘story’ of mining areas and hinterlands with the view towards a unique tourism product that contributes towards economic regeneration.

The principal duty of this post involves leading the development and implementation of a financial plan for the project in conformance with ERDF guidance, in conjunction with the Lead Partner Project Manager and all sub-partners.

You will have experience of preparing and analysing financial reports and statements; collating and preparing information for the completion and submission of financial claims; be able to use ICT to assimilate and present complex financial information and data and have experience or knowledge of ERDF.
